I was thinking about printing the lino in black on paper that I'd already rolled a gradient on (just using a roller & printing ink) to hopefully give an effect like this (gradient on this one done on computer as proof-of-concept)

The gradient gives the picture a much deeper feel to me, a much warmer and more 'real' feeling. I like it a lot
